In the Central District News

Tom Fucoloro from the Central District News interviewed me last week, and did a little write-up in the blog. Check it out here: http://www.centraldistrictnews.com/2011/05/31/former-yesler-terrace-computer-lab-teacher-creates-web-comic-set-in-the-neighborhood

Another report he did recently talked about how Yesler Terrace as we know it (and as it is portrayed in Coiled) will not be around that much longer. The city knows it can get a high price selling space so close to downtown to developers, so it plans to replace Yesler’s townhouses with taller buildings to increase the density. They say that the amount of low-income housing will stay the same. But Yesler residents will lose their small yards, and the historic houses (more later on why they are historic) will be taken down.
